Instant Hedging : Cherry Laurel

LRL RB 5'-6' planted hedge

Cherry Laurel

Cherry Laurel (Prunus Laurocerasus Rotundifolia) is another good option for instant hedging being initially typically more dense than Leylandii. Laurel gives a nicer look than Leylandii when trimmed into a hedge and so is often a favorite for gardens where great height isn’t required. Cherry Laurel hedging was introduced from Eastern Europe in 1576 and is now natural over lots of the UK. It won’t thrive in shallow or chalky soil. Laurel is also one of those hedging plants that can be trimmed back to bare wood (in fact, down to ground level!) and will still grow up and thrive!

Our Laurel in this height range are grown in pots on our nursery in 45 litre pots. All of the plants are measured from the top of the pot giving you maximum height for your money. We can also supply these plants rootballed.
